In 2002, “art lovers” Christi Bonner Manuelito and Clark David Olson embarked on a journey to create an “outside the box” gallery concept – and Bonner David was born.
As a thriving artist with a BFA, Christi herself has always felt a special connection with artists. Her background, combined with Clark’s love of art as both a collector and Master docent at the Phoenix Art Museum, make them a great match. Between them, they have over 45 years of collective experience in fine art.
Over the years, Christi and Clark have hand-picked a collection of traditional artists who capture their love of figurative, landscape, and realistic art, along with some of today’s most well-known and gifted contemporary artists.
We consider our principal purpose to be educating, encouraging, and expanding the appreciation of fine art. Art is extremely personal, and collecting is often prompted by emotion&#8230;whether a sensory response, a connection, a moment or memory, an appreciation for talent, or a meaningful experience.

We believe that art is truly about people and Bonner David operates with a different philosophy—focusing on the relationships with our artists, our employees, and importantly, with our collectors. We enjoy conversing about art, consider our artists our lifeblood and many of our clients are now our best friends. Through personal understandings of the ebbs and flows of life, it is our mission to respect the celebrations and tragedies that occur throughout.
With this philosophy in mind, Clark and Christi brought their vision to reality and Bonner David enduringly became “A Whole Family of Fine Art.”

For over 20 years, <a href="https://bonnerdavid.vercel.app/locations/">Bonner David</a> has become one of the largest and most respected galleries in the Southwest, with a second location on the Upper East Side of Manhattan that opened in 2020, just half a block from the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Raised in New Mexico, Christi Bonner Manuelito grew up around art in Santa Fe and graduated with an art history and art studio degree from the University of New Mexico, where she was also a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Upon graduating from UNM, she began working in galleries to learn the business of the Art World. In 1996, she started her gallery experience by selling Native American fine art rugs in Scottsdale, AZ. Upon the closure of that gallery, in 1997, she started working at a different fine art gallery also in Scottsdale doing their promotional work and quickly moved into sales for the next 5 years. In 2002, she and partner Clark David Olson opened Bonner David Galleries in Scottsdale, AZ and in 2020, opened their second location in New York City.
For over 25 years she has curated hundreds of gallery exhibitions as well as collections for avid art collectors. In addition, Manuelito has assisted with the cultivation of many now famous artists locally and internationally and has advanced her gallery artists visibility by participating in many well-known contemporary art fairs across the west; Art San Francisco, LA Art Show, Art Santa Fe and Art Aspen to name a few. Manuelito currently resides in Scottsdale, Arizona with her son Jett, her pup Daisy, and travels to New York for her second gallery’s exhibitions. Most recently, her gallery in New York &amp; its director Rebecca Rosenfield won the distinguished Otty award given out by Straus News and currently are Patrons Club members at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Christi Bonner Manuelito

Clark is a native of the Midwest, was educated in communication and ultimately earned a Ph.D. at the University of Minnesota. For the next thirty-eight years he was a professor in the Hugh Downs School of Human Communication at Arizona State University, coaching their internationally renowned speech and debate team for fifteen years; developing Civil Dialogue, a means to have conversations with people we strongly disagree with (see his book &#8220;Hot Topics, Cool Heads&#8221;); and publishing award winning articles in professional journals. While at ASU, he regularly taught and traveled internationally, visiting museums and galleries throughout the world. He was an executive member of the International Forensics Association for twenty-five years, administering their annual tournament. He also spent twenty years as a docent at the Phoenix Art Museum.
During a sabbatical in 1998, he met Christi while working at another gallery; he directed Eskind Fine Art for two years where he learned the business aspects of gallery life. It was at that time that he and Christi developed plans for Bonner David.
Today, Clark educates clients about collecting and helps them compile their art into museum-worthy collections. Known for his keen eye for art, today he lives in Phoenix where he enjoys developing his own collection and living with his two Westies Quincy and Barrington.

Clark David Olson

Another Midwestern native, Cher moved to Arizona from Minnesota over twenty-five years ago. After becoming a mother to her two sons, she completed her B.A. from St. Catherine’s in St. Paul. With her entrepreneurial spirit, she is a designer, seller of precious jewels and for the last decade has been a successful realtor with Coldwell Banker in Scottsdale.
Cher says, “One of the most important things in my life is my involvement in Bonner David Galleries since its inception. My home is full of precious art that I enjoy every day!&#8221;

Cher Redmond

Rebecca received a BA from Arizona State University in Museum Studies, and a BA in Art History with a focus in Italian Renaissance. She first started working with Bonner David Galleries in 2010 as an intern.
After graduating from college, she moved to Italy and worked with Artissima, Italy’s most important contemporary art fair. She eventually moved to New York to pursue a master’s degree in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art. Straight out of her graduate program, she started working in Christie’s Collection Management platform—a perfect fit, as she has always been passionate about working with collectors and helping them with their art collections.
After spending several years leading national client-facing teams in top auction houses, Rebecca decided she missed work closely with art and her Bonner David family. In 2019, Rebecca helped open Bonner David New York on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and serves as Gallery Director, assisted by Pom.

Rebecca Rosenfield

Trained at the National Academy of Art and Design in Hamburg, Germany, Gabriele technically integrated Siemens’ international team and was recognized as one of the best new designers in North Germany. Upon moving to the United States, Gabriele worked as a software designer for Motorola. She transitioned to marketing at Neiman Marcus where she promoted the precious jewels department before becoming the Director of Marketing at Bonner David Galleries.
Gabriele has a thorough knowledge of the art business and personal love and appreciation for art and artists. Her vast experience in developing strategies and implementing online campaigns is extensive, and she is known for her curiosity, enthusiasm, and hard work.

Gabriele Koenig Rewis

Preston Fox is a native Arizonan who has extensive experience in art throughout the West. He has been in the gallery world for over 5 years, working in San Francisco, Denver and most recently Los Angeles. He received his MFA from California College of the Arts in San Francisco and has shown in multiple galleries across California. Preston thrives creating a community around the art he loves and helping connect collectors with the art that will live with them forever.

As a child whose habitual doodles appeared even on their math homework, Connor predictably studied drawing and painting at Arizona State University where he earned his BFA. Being the registrar, he enjoys being the first to see new artworks as they arrive in the gallery. As installation specialist, his favorite part of working with Bonner David is installing artworks in their forever-home, where he witnesses the joy, excitement, and personal connection the artwork brings each client.

Jessica graduated with a BA in Art History, with a focus on Art Entrepreneurship, Curatorial Studies and Photography, from Arcadia University. She interned at National Museums Scotland where she did extensive research in Viking Art. She also researched the iconography found within Leonardo da Vinci&#8217;s artwork. Jessica was drawn to Bonner David Galleries because they really showcase a wide variety of art forms and provide a welcoming environment to gain more experience in the art world.

Pom is a black and tan dapple, Miniature Dachshund. He started working at Bonner David New York at just 4 months old and is responsible for welcoming guests and inspecting all incoming artwork.
He is a known ambassador of the block and contributes to the happiness of the Upper East Side community.
