Jane Jones has a very personal tie to the subjects in her still lifes. She and her husband have been developing gardens in their Arvada, Colorado, home for the past 20 years, with the awareness that whatever they plant might find their way into her paintings. She carefully chooses the bulbs, bushes, seeds and fruit trees that will producer flowers and fruits she wishes to capture. “This way, every year, I get an amazing array of beautiful possibilities to fire my imagination,” she says.
