Three contemporary artists, three fresh perspectives on art!
Gail Morris takes her inspiration from the works of noted landscape artist Wolf Kahn. Morris likes to experiment with layering her paints and then scraping and deconstructing her layers. Her trend towards the essentials shows a mastery of color and space in her canvas. As she lays paints side by side, they seem to melt into each other, so her landscapes are distinctly stunning.
Nathan Fischer’s works in hand forged bronze panels, where he mixes different patinas which he applies, many of which appear as colored landscapes.
Noted sculptor Brad Howe provides the perfect compliment to this show with his colorful geometric and kinetic tension sculptures.
Visiting artist Donald Roy Thompson as produced a large inventory of color field paintings, and in 2013 returned to his exploration of six colors within a square in various sizes.
Join us as we celebrate new works by these contemporary artists and don’t miss the chance to see these works in person at Bonner David Galleries. This exhibit will be on display until April 8, 2019.
